Replaced battery with Autozone 1000amp ca. Then alternator quit, replaced alt & checked output with voltmeter across batt. terminals ,reading was too high at 15.3 volts. It should be between 13.5 to 14.5 volts . Changed regulator {external}three times ,no change. Basically everything is new in the charging circuit.Can anyone help?

 

ivolt over max, I probaly would not worry to much. There is only one thing that would cause over voltage, the regulator,
