I have a 1979 Ramcharger that the transfer case shifted into netural & it died, and will start back up, it is getting fire to the plugs and fuel to the carb, it is 360, I wonder if it some how jumped time, if not then what is it? and is it going to be costly? ran great before this happened.

on the drivers side of the tranny .look for a round plug .if it is pluged in the safety switch might be bad.or wire briken
