Default Sharadon Tranny/VB Shuddering Issue (Videos)

I posted this over on DT, gonna copy and paste it here as well. can never get too much help.

Hey guys, ive been having some problems, maybe someone here can help me out.

A while back my tranny died. So i took that opportunity to replace it with a Sharadon Stage II tranny and Stage II valve body. Im also running an Edge 2600 TC. Ever since I first installed it, it has had an issue with shuddering on the 1-2 shift, and when ever it downshifts to accelerate it shudders/slips. However, all is fine during WOT. I wouldnt mind it so much if this was strictly a track truck, but this is my DD.

Directly after the install, I had the quick learn procedure done on it. The shuddering was still there afterward. Sharadon has been giving me some advice to help troubleshoot it. And I have met up and drove around with Andre from Edge a couple of times to get his input. Sharadon suggested that i try the line pressure resistor trick, to see if increasing the line pressure would help the problem. with the resistor in place (2.2k ohm on the line pressure sensor) it very slightly helped the 1-2 shudder at extremely light throttle, but made the shudder more noticeable all other times. Then from the advice of Andre, I tried the sonnax line pressure booster. It gave about the same results as the resistor, only it made the shifts/shudders a little quicker.

About 4 weeks ago, Sharadon told me they were going to send me a new solenoid pack, to see if that would fix it. I still have yet to receive it. I think they are pretty busy over at the shop, so sending me free parts is probably not at the top of their list. Also, the last I talked to Denny over there, he told me that since the upshifts were built up so much, id pretty much have to live with the downshift shuddering. (i really dont agree with that at all). I am starting to think that it may be a valvebody issue. Another member over on DF is having very similar issues as me (minus the 1-2 shudder) and he is only running a sharadon VB and Edge 2800 on his Dakota.

Lastly, here my trucks specs: 2004 Ram 2500 Hemi, 2wd, auto, 4.56, Sharadon stage II 545RFE and VB, Edge 2600 racing converter, intake, exhaust, DSP 91 tune.

on to the videos. keep in mind, im not running over speed bumps at 70mph, or wash board at 15mph, that is the tranny causing the entire truck to violently shake/shudder.

that should just about cover it. I have more vids if need be. and i can take more pics/vids of anything else upon request. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am starting to feel like Sharadon has given up on helping me. And after dropping well over $3 grand into this tranny, i would really like to get it running properly.

Thanks,
John Blalock (OlDirtyJohn)

No, sharadon should step up and get that thing fixed. You have given them PLENTY of time and Im sure contacted and worked with them quite a few times, which at even minimum wage is hundreds of dollars of time.

If they told you the thing would work and it doesnt, they need to give you a refund or something

You have rechecked the new tranny mount to make sure the transmission isn't jumping around under there?

Yep, for what they get for those tranny's, you need to tell them to make it right or take it back!!!

Check out pro torque....

As for the trans I would take the drive and let them fix it. If you end up going through az let me know and I'll meet up with ya for a bit and get a hold of a few other guys around here and see what we can figure out as well.

Have you tried to put camera under the truck to vid the trans as its shifting? that may be a good way of seeing how its reacting.

damn, that is really bad... if sheradon doesnt make this right they will lose business from everyone on here and dt... theres no reason they shouldnt be working with you to make this right
