Bummer! 
A couple of my old high school buddies were plankowners, which was what got me to looking at the thing right after they got it wet and confirmed that it didn't sink. In my professional capacity I worked on smaller boats, mostly conducting training seminars on the theory and practice of professional pub crawling.

It sits on the water, you get on it, it takes you away from the shore and then either to another shore or back to the same one... sounds like a boat to me, man. And when you do that, you're boating. If you want to go shipping you have to seal yourself in a carton and have an assistant deliver you to UPS.
