Default Removing cat

I'm going to beat the dead horse one more time here cause my cat finally has gotten on my nerves. It rattles like crazy.

Since my exhaust has both 2" pipes going together into the cat, what do you all use to connect these or Y them together into 1 pipe going out? I. Am aware that ill have to relocate the front O2 sensor and I'm going to space the rear one out also.

since your going to run straight pipes and kill the tree huggers...why not remove the cat, smash the guts with a broom stick and shake out the debris...reinstall.

While I do not condone this at all (and its federally mandated equipment), some just cut a hole in the cat too. Then weld on a patch.

Have to be big patch if it's factory. This was replaced by a magnaflow 23285.

How about replacing the cat with a high flow unit with a 3" outlet? If so, I used the following parts:

Dynomax UltraFlo Welded Muffler - 17233
Magnaflow Converter - 99047HM (dual 2" inlets, 3" outlet, front O2 sensor port)
1 - bung for rear O2 sensor
1 length of 3" pipe (to be used in between the cat and muffler and to fabricate a tail pipe)

When using these parts, cut the old cat out and weld in the new one as a perfect replacement. I took these parts to a decent muffler shop and they installed them all from the cat back. May want to consider getting two new O2 sensors, too.
