I just picked up this truck and I love it. Have not done much to it. Just got some seat covers, installed a radio and pulled out the center console. I wanted better cup holders so I picked up a console from Walmart.

New here, but not new to Dodge. I just bought a 1994 Dakota to go with my 1974 Plymouth Scamp 318. For the price these trucks sell for, they are a great value. I bought this one for $800, and it ought to work perfect for hauling parts and towing the occasional project car. Eventually it will get a 5.9 I'm sure. I just replaced the headlight harness, installed a putco relay harness, and put new tires on it. Brake work is next and then replacing, and rust proofing front suspension.
Here it is after the 100+ mile trip back to the house.
1994, full frame off, but not really rebuild, more like frankestein build. Frame is from a 1991, cab and fenders are 1994, box is 1992, transmission is a 1993 5 speed, engine is a hybrid 1994/1998, with the 1998 long block, and 1994 intake and exhaust manifolds. Paint isnt very pretty (its a very dark purple, medium grey), but, its a work truck, and it is better than the faded and peeling green it used to be.
1995, 4x4 with a replacement frame, 5.9 swap, and LSD in the rear. Done in dark metallic blue (not very pretty, but it is mostly used to haul logs out of the woods). I cant seem to find any of the finished pics at the moment, and it is over 150 miles away right now.
EDIT: forgot to add, im from upstate N.Y. I also found a couple pics of it, almost finished, and one of both my 94 and 95 together.
My hybrid 1991. The cab, frame and fenders are from a 1996, the box is from a 91, the drivetrain and wiring are from a 93. My trucks may not look like much, since this one was painted with spray paint, but, they are work trucks. This one is used for snow plowing and sanding. The frame is a completely painted, then undercoated, to make it last in northern N.Y. and PA winters.
