Hey Ya'll. I just picked up my first non-Ford. A 1992 Dakota short bed regular cab with a 5.2L, and I love it. I can't wait to start learning more about it. But, looking at it I already have a lot of questions. I will use the search function as much as possible but also look forward to hearing Ya'll's opinions and comments.
she's very pretty. I would encourage you to keep that thing close to stock with a few choice upgrades to anything worn out.

I have broken so much **** on
Moving yard equipment for someone hauling scrap metal hauling scrap metal hauling scrap metal helping a friend move hauling trash hauling brush hauling construction debris
this truck in the last 3 years but she keeps on keepin on except for flat tire days like today
Just picked this up. 1990 3.9 5spd 2wd Mopar Express with 205k on it. Runs like a top, just needs a trans rebuild. Shifts fine, but makes a horrendous racket any time it's in gear, so likely a bearing on the output shaft has gone out.
Hey All,
New member here. I've owned several Mopar vehicles throughout my life including a 2004 Dakota and a 2007 Ram 2500. But, I fell upon and just got this sweet '87 Dakota 2WD, 5 speed manual, standard cab, with a full size bed. 3.9 with a good old carburetor. 105k original mileage, no rust. Two tone almond paint. Needs some cosmetic work...headliner, cracked rear window, etc. But, I'm ecstatic to be back in an old pick-up. Tried to post a couple of pics from my phone but, doesn't seem to load...
First day I got her. 30 years old and not a lick of rust.
