Default The Replacement Truck.

Just picked this up today. Decided I am just going to sell the 96. I spent less buying a new (to me) truck, than I would on fixing the old one.

98 Ram 2500 4x4 V-10 Laramie SLT. It is not my preferred color, or interior... (tan leather on the inside....) But, everything else is there. 8.0 liter, 33" tires, 4.56 gears, LSD rear, and a clock that works. 132,000 miles. 3300 bucks. Awesome. Drives nice, runs nice. Been rustproofed, though the bottoms of all four doors need some attention.

Nice rig, minus the rust. At least you don't have to worry about the plenum!

That was no small part of the idea behind getting the 10.... That, and the additional power.

What was all wrong with the 96? Thought you had pretty much done it all on that rig. The V10 is such a monster. I had a gf once who had one: it was a beast. And got maybe 10mpg.

Nice configuration and colour too, but I might be biased. Shame about the rust, couldn't have been ziebarted too well. The 4.56's are a nice bonus. Lets see pics of your old truck, never seen it before.

Nice new buy. Looks great. The rust is a given, especially when your up in the north. Have a friend that lived up there, and says there are some cars driving around with no door panel at all, it's so rusted out. I'm happy i got mine basically rust free. Gotta find them old farm trucks that are driven mostly on gravel. I prefer the darker interior, and I like the 94-97s better, but it looks to be a great truck!

Yeah, I have been lookin' at repair panels, and I can get all four for under 150.00 off of Rock Auto... but then, I would have to do body work, which I hate, and I suck at. Might look for some decent replacements, there is a place within spittin' distance of me that does body parts from southern trucks.... So, rust free replacements is a possibility. (which would get rust-proofed by ME before installation.....)

Got some other details to deal with first though.
