A good quality lift should come with the drop down brackets. But if you plan to off-road at all where you need 109% suspension flex look at the Antirock sway bar

 

Some folks have just left it off altogether....... others, flipped the links, so the bar was above the axle. Lots of options there.

Did it make a noticeable difference in how the truck drives?

 

My truck is lifted 3 inches and kits don't include anything for such a small height. However, when my stock end links were shot, I call Maxx links and asked what they would sell me. Ended up with extended links and they've been solid for over two years. I think they're important when carving down a mountain pass at 65 and the front end is nice and planted.
