Default HELP with thermostat houseing

I got a 96 ram 2500 witha V10 the plastic thermostat houseing is creaked because I tried to torque it like its supposed to be
Where can I fing a new or use one? I'm at my wits end, all it does is leak, I even took the seal out and installed a cork gasket trying to stop it from leaking before it ioverheats

I swear to God whoever put a chunk of plastic in a V10 engiine is a dmaned moron

You can find them in various places, I found aluminum housings on Ebay... Oddly enough, rock auto doesn't even have a listing for the plastic fellers.

They probably don't list them to avoid returns for defective parts. Gotta love the bean counters that took over around the late 90's.

I just ordered a Aluminum one that is brand new , comes with a gasket water tube, a plug for the ones that dont have two sensors liek I do and 6 bolts $465 was $425 before the fed had to have his taxes to pay for ukraine
BUT At least I''ll have once thats NOT plastic sitting on top of a cast iron engine

Does that come with a spare engine block?
For that price you could damn near have one machine out of billet aluminum.

Those 'lil plastic fellers' were superseded in the 90's by aluminum BECAUSE they cracked. My '95 had one. The part numbers are out there, can find them used on EBay from time to time. Have a couple spares, holding on tight.

the one I ordered was machined out of billit aluminium
