Default Lifter cam replacement...valve job too?

Hello, brand new poster.
Doing the lifter, cam replacement on my 09 Ram 2500 5.7, 220,000 miles and was wondering if doing a valve job is recommended also.
I, of course will be pulling the heads and having them inspected, cleaned and squared if necessary.
The truck is not blowing smoke so assuming valves are ok. Am I correct in assuming this?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

If they are going to the machine shop anyway, spend the money, and have the valves done. With that kind of mileage, likely time to have the valve guides reamed, and seats cleaned up. Not to mention seals replaced.
