'00 5.2L 42re

Hey everyone, What would be a good trans to put behind this 318 that's got about a quarter of a million miles? The 42RE, would probably just need to be rebuilt. But I'd like to set that one aside for backup.

If you want to go with another automatic, 44 or 46RE would be a safe bet. I believe they are an inch or two longer than the 42 though, so, might need to 'adjust' the driveshafts....
