Help with Identifying Old Model

I think they’re definitely the same model, but not sure if it’s the same car.
A few reasons:
1) Different license plate numbers
2) Different tire treads
3) The wrecked car has “wings” at the bottom of the grill whereas the other doesn’t look like it has them.
4) The grills seem to have slightly different appearance/billet spacing.
Obviously the lighting and angles of the photographs could account for the grill appearance, and I’m not saying they’re not the same car - just offering my opinion.

Could go either way .... remember back then you could buy a running driving car for $50 ..... It is possible your Grandfather picked up a wrecked car for parts.
There were wrecking yards and such .... no real value in scrap metal at the time .... Grandpa may have bought that wreck for $5 or the neighbor gave it to him to get it out of their yard ???
I see a few differences, such as license plate is different ..... OK he moved.
The left front tire is different. Original could have been damaged and needed a spare to make it roll ..... Car is totaled, it could start up and drive at that point just to move it around the yard.
There is paint missing on the wrecked car, where the upper photo looks to be nice and taken care of.
Hard to tell with the wreck, upper door hings do not match.
It is totally possible they are the same car .... just as possible they are not.
