Default High idle while coasting in 5 speed

Question for the brain trust; 2004 1500 4.7 with a 5 speed, start is normal, normal idle speed. Start moving and push in the clutch, it will idle around 1500 until I come to a stop and then Idles down to normal. Seems like the faster I go, 4-5 gear and push in the clutch it will idle around 2500-3000, as I slow, in natural, rpm follows MPH, until I come to a complete stop then it idles normally. I did notice a couple of times, around 30-50 mph, with the clutch pushed in, RPM would drop to about 1500 and then come back up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does your gas pedal connect to the throttle via a cable? Or is it drive by wire?
