leveling an 04' Ram
I have an 04' Ram QC SLT 2WD and I was wanting to put 35" baja claws on it. One guy said he put 35's on his 04' with just a front end leveling kit. The clearance in the rear, from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender well is 6 1/2" and the clearance on the front is only 3", so I would need to bring the front up 3 1/2" to level the front end out, but the biggest spacers they make are 2 1/2". I just wanted to know if the 2 1/2" spacers will raise it enough, and if so will I be able to fit 35's or do I need to stick with 33's.
I am guessing you measured on flat ground? My truck measured different before I did the leveling. I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 QC same body style. The clearance in the rear, from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender well was 7" and the clearance on the front was 4 1/2". Now mine seems to be 7 1/2" front and 7" rear after putting on the Daystar biggest spacers they make are 2 1/2" and a set of Pro Comp 3000 series shocks. Seems like it did 3". As far as 35's, my wheel well is 37" front to back so it would be close?
I just leveled mine out. Added new springs, shocks and did an alignment. $500 bucs at a shop for all of it.
