Default bagged dakota

Hi all, I recently bought a 97 single/regular cab dakota, and i was thinking about bagging it. I have never done this, and was wondering if anyone here had any experience with this. I want to do it my self, but i want to know if anyone thinks that is a bad idea since i have never done it before. Any advice on what system to use, or anything at all would be great. Thanks a ton!

I got a 97 club cab/ex cab. It's not that hard to bag really. You can use s-10 front cups but you will need to angle the lowers a little. I would get 2600 bags all round. As for the rear, it's all up to you. It's a little hard but if you want to do a link I would get the axel bracket that SuicideDoors has to attach a link bar to since the rear axel is more to the right.

if you have any more questions let me know.

drkyprkynrd@yahoo.com - or call 1.866.FUKN.LOW and ask for Rob, should be able to shed some light.

What these guys said
It should be easy enough as long as you have some mechanical skill
I'm planning to bag my 'kota to lay frame on 22's with a 2-way setup
if you're in the area (N.Ridgeville, OH) and go ahead with it i'd love to help.

And alftuckin22s, what's wrong with AIM?
bitchin' truck BTW

batman AIM is really a hit and miss type deal seen to many ppl get the shaft from them. Wether it be they recieve the wrong part on numerous occasions or just an overall very shady product. Me personally I would never by anything from them seen to many ppl get screwed go on any mini/truckin' website and ask about AIM and I'm sure you will get the "hit and miss" response a few times. Suicide doors just have the some of the best quality on the market and their pricing is right on the money for any mini trucker out there. Have you bought anything from AIM? just curious I've heard lately they been a lil better but still shady.

I just got some 1/4" D.O.T line and an air gauge for my horns

I really like suicidedoors' bolt-on air bar for the 'kota
I might go with that when I start draggin this truck,
in the meantime, how would you setup a daily driver truck to drag?
I don't want to screw it up.

Well that all depends on you man, the tried and proven two link with a panhard is an option but nowadays everyone is runnin a four link or more. My truck was bagged on a two link w/ panhard for two years and pretty much my daily but only by choice I loved drivin it every chance i had I never had any issues with it. I am now however switchin toa custom one off four link on the new frame I'm building. The main thing is to make sure to watch your pinion angle out back make sure if you remove a stock crossmember you put something right back in there seen too many ppl say " ohI guess I dont need that"! Up front is alil diferent but since I have never bagged or seen the front of a kota it'd be kinda hard to explain. If upper and lower control arms are avail. then i would go that route. Main thing is buy froma well known source and ask many questions. I have a buddy up in va who bagged his kota awhile back I'll ask him see if he hassome better info for ya.

I can get control arms for mine, and because everybody is goin' 4 link I think I'll stay with 2
I'm not like everybody else, simple but sweet is the name of my game
BTW, I love your new rear end

thats cool man the only down side to a two link is when atfull lift the panhard tends to pull the axle over a bit so be sure to look out for that when setting the panhard and pinion angle but if your plannin on bagging it I'm sure you'd wanna roll as low as possible so shouldnt have a big issue. But overall they are a good setup. The only reason I'm going with a four link is cause I'm tossing a high horsepower engine in, and partly cause I tired of the truck being mostly stock lol!! Thanks for the props on the rear its been slow but its moving along I'll be posting new pics of the body drop progress here pretty soon. Good Luck!!
