Default Lifting question

If i want to install a lift can i just buy a kit with the front lift set ups and then buy new regular leaf springs for the back? i dont know too much about lifts, if i just put new rear leafs on with a front lift kit do i need blocks or something for the rear to make it the same height as the front?

First off, what type of truck are you wanting to lift?

Generally, lift kits don't replace the rear leaf spring itself. A lot of the kits actually just replace the shackle, flip the leaves over the axle, use blocks, or a combination of those.

I'd just suggest buying a complete kit, and make sure it's a good kit, not a cheap one unless you plan on replacing parts quickly.

Okay, with your truck being a 4x4, no lift blocks allowed. Of course, you really shouldn't use them on any truck, especially the powered axle.

Anyway, I'd still suggest buying the new kit. Or even looking at what comes with the kit. Like I said, most kits come with new shackles or the parts to flip the spring to the top of the axle (if the stock location is underneath).

Look around, good lift kits don't come cheap.
