Default about a lift kit

ok i am in the market of getting a i think 94-2001 4x4 ram and i had a few ?. I was wanting to put 38's on it would i be better of with a 1500 or a 2500. The next ? is diesel a better way to go if it will see the mud to not just a street. I have been searching the site and the Internet for a while now and I came to see I need at lest a 8' lift. But I can not find a 8' or bigger susp. lift do u guys now were u can find one at. and any other info u would like to drop by and let me know thanks.

skyjacker makes a 7in lift.. whiplash makes a 10 inch if i recall right but you could also go wit a 5 inch with a 3 inch body you can also get 2 and 3 inch leveling kits too so you really have alot of diff ways you could go.. as far as 1500 and 2500 thats all ur truck everything i said was for a 2500 and if you plan on running 38's you better have a 2500 or 1ton or have axles with gears that can handle running 38's ... if you dont have a truck i do have a 96 2500 ram 4x4 v10 with 3 inch body lift with 35's[sm=smiley2.gif] if your in the market lol make an offer if not i hope i helped ya out

I have an 83' w250 with a 12" lift on 40's. I used chevy (sorry guys) springs to achieve my height. I dont think I would give a 1/2 ton that much lift.
