The one-piece airbox/heat shield is made of rugged 16-gauge powder coated steel. Additionally, a specially developed 3-angle velocity stack smooths the airflow transition from the air filter to the intake tube, further optimizing performance. Top quality, flexible rubber trim at the top of the box/shield seals against the hood when it is closed, shielding the air filter from engine heat and allowing it to take in cooler air.
