hi i recently bought a pair of hankook rt03 tires . i had them mounted at pep boys (sorry) tonight. there are redstripes on the tread of each tire - what are they for? are they all supposed to be inside , outside or it doesnt matter? - worried

Typically the colored lines you see on the tread are used in the construction of the tire to help ensure that the various tread components are lined up correctly. That is a very general answer, but without consulting with a Hankook engineer that gives you the general idea. Unless the tires are asymmetric (with a label on each sidewall that says "inside" or "outside") it does not matter which side is in or out.
