Im looking for some info on putting a 33x12.50 on a 17x8 wheel. From what ive found, the recommended rim size for a 12.50 is 8.5. Im wanting some baja claw radials but im concerned that the rims will be too narrow and cause the tire to have a "balloon" effect. My second tire choice is the more likley, Dick Cepec mudder. Any one with suggestions or ,pictures especially of a 33x12.50 on 17x8 wheel, would be greatly appreciated. I just bought a 2002 Single cab 4x4 and the toyo AT's 285/70R17 just dont have the aggressive look im wanting. Im sorry if this was answered before, I tried searching many pages with no avail. I hate generic posts answered over and over.
i have just had some 33x12.50x17 big o x/t mud terrain mounted on my eagle 17x8 rims they look good and the top of the tire still sits flat i dont think a half inch of rim difference will change anything
thanks for the compliment glad i could help i became a member just because i wanted to answer your question hope you like your tires as much as i like mine
