Fuel Hostage chrome plastic bolts
got my fuels was kinda depressed to see they were made in china. anyway the fake bolts which are plastic and chrome dipped are cheap looking. not to mention they are loose and can fall off or break off easily.I even had one that was broken and glued from factory. I could tell because glue was dripped around the cap. kinda ghetto, but i didnt let it get to me. before i even put the wheels on i figured i do a lil work to them. taken the caps off is easy but u do risk snapping tabs. out of 64 tabs i managed to break only 2. grab the sides of the "f" and the "l" pullup and wiggle gently like pulling a tooth. i was going to just spray them black but i would still deal with them falling off and i really didnt feel like having to glue 2 of them on because of broken tabs. i went to the home depot got some fender washers which are very thin. same size as the nylon washers under the caps. i scuffed them down sprayed them satin black and baked them for 30 mins. had to reem out the hole a lil to get the screws threw. took bout an hour from removing the caps to painting to reinstalling. i think it looks good. takes a lot of that cheap chrome look out. pics arent the best but the paint matchs dead on and the lil stainless torx screw threw them looks kinda clean.what you think?
