I recently purchased an 06 Dodge Magnum SXT with the optional 18" rims from the factory. I am planning to purchase some snow tires and rims for it.
Since 18" tires and rims are less common, I was planning on purchasing 17" winter tires and rims, the size that would have that would have come standard, adjusting the tire size to match the height of the 18" tires. My dealer is telling me that since I upgraded to the 18" rims, the brakes were also upgraded at the same time and the 17" rims would not fit. This sounds a little fishy.
Any comments?
