Bent Wheel
Well I bought my new wheels yesterday, and I am very pleased with them. But one has a slight bend in it. The guy i bought it from told me that it held air. I was wondering if i should fix them myself, or would a tire guy have a machine that straightens the rim out? Or should just leave it alone? And would it be harder to balance with the bend? Would tire wear be affected?

I don't know the answer to your question, but these guys will. http://www.turbax.com/
Good luck.

Naw,I dont think im gonna send them to FL just yet, the rims onlycost 20 bucks a piece. And that wouldnt even cover shipping. I might just leave it or fix it myself with hammer and piece of wood. But stillcan anyone answer my questions?
If it's alloy, I wouldn't bang on it, because bending it back may weaken it further. If it holds air as-is, I'd probably just touch up the finish as best I could and mount it up. If it's steel it's a little more flexible and you may be able to hammer it back in to shape without compromising it too much. Balancing may be a little trickier, but shouldn't be impossible.

I also wouldnt recommend running any kind of low profile tire on that rim either, as all it would take is a minor pothole to really weaken that edge further. So long as you stick with normal sized tires you should be fine.... I've seen worse curb checked rims hold air. Balancing might be interesting, but it should be quite okay.
