Default help with balljoints

i plan on replacing my upper AND lower balljoints this weekend.....

the uppers i will need to pop the rivits, i have an angle grinder, cutoff wheel, and an air chisel ---- i am set there

the lowers, i am not sure about, i have been researching and have found that i might need to press them out of the arm? is this correct? if so, how would i go about doing it?

well like we said in the other thread, check the recal notice and see if you can get the stealership to do them for you, save you lots of time/effort and frustration (money too )

so THE 2WD IS WAY DIFFERENT THAN THE 4WD!!!!!!

the lower balljoint is rivited in with 4 rivits, there is no press fitting of the bj or anything, the upper has 3 rivits, i replaced both with moogs greasables

the lower took me forever to do.... the rivites are like an inch long..... the taper on my little air chisel wasn't as long,,,,, several hours later......... the tops took me liek an hour for both.....

all done, and we got an alignment......

if i ever have to do them again, it will be easy, since the replacements bolt in......

i also did reassembly with hand tools, because i didnt want to tick off the neighbors being i was using my air compressor and air hammer for liek 6 hours straight.....
