What rims fit?

What rims fit?
I've heard that the PT Cruiser wass built on the Neon frame. If that is true, doesn't that mean that the rims on the PT Cruiser will fit my Neon? I only ask because I'm getting real tired of my black steel rims and would like a little more shine. And a little bigger rim wouldn't hurt either. Another question, do generation II rims fit generation I Neons?

ok here is a list of the 4 lug and 5 lug cars that have the same bolt pattern as the Neons. There may be a few odd ***** from each year that don't fit but for the most part where I have checked it is correct. Haven't got a hold of each car myself to measure .. only about 3/4 of the list I have actually measured myself .
Editor's Note: Note that while the bolt patterns may be correct, the offset and center bore may be wrong so the wheels still may not fit. In particular, newer Subarus and Volkswagens tend to run much higher offsets than Neons, and those wheels will probably not work without spacers.

RE: What rims fit?
Don't forget the '95 4-lug setup... didn't specify in the original post what year the car was. 5-lug will obviously not fit on 4-lug... So there's a case where even cars built on the exact same chassis can't swap.
The PT Cruiser was not built on the Neon "frame". It's a unibody design, not a shell-frame deal like trucks and older cars. The 1st gen Neon chassis is the "PL", and is somewhat based on the P-body cars (Shadow, Spirit, etc.) as well as the L-Body (Omni, etc.) designs, and even shares a good number of parts with those cars. The 2nd gen Neon is the PL2 chassis, pretty similar to the original PL. The PT Cruiser is the PT chassis, which does share some components/dimensions with the P-body and PL/PL2 chassis'.
But yes, the PT wheels will swap onto your 5-lug 1st gen fine. Same bolt pattern, same offset, same center bore diameter.
Best of luck!
