How do you change the oil pan gasket?
So I took my oil pan off as it seemed to be dripping a little oil around the gasket. I got it off fine, put a new gasket on it, and went to put it back on. This is where I ran into problems. On the transmission side, I can't get it to go back on. It's one of the pieces of the motor that makes it a really tight fit between it and the transmission. Anyone done this before? How the hell do you get it off? I swear everything on this truck is designed the ****tiest way possible. I hate this damn truck, but none the less I need to get it back on the road so I can at least drive it.

i had to remove my starter and flex plate (edit...inspection cover) to get my oil pan off in the first place. i tried to remove it without removing the flex plate, but i couldn't get it to unhook from the flex plate lip.
did you remove your flex plate (inspection cover), or did you get it off w/o that ?

remove 2 angle braces between block and trans.
disconnect battery. very important.
unbolt the f@#$King starter. 1 bolt, 1 nut on stud. very tight.
drop starter down on your chest.
remove big wire from starter.
unplug small wire from starter.
unbolt a few small bolts from flexplate inspection cover.
cover will come off, but you have to sort of bend it over the starter stud.
