That's nice to know that it never happened for the pp. I just had the same thing happen to me. I took it to a guy I know that does work on my van. He pointed out the spark plug that the code refers to and said that it would probably have to be replaced. Said it might shudder when it/if it does it again. Said it was a pretty easy fix and if that didn't work sometimes the wire needs replacing as well. After the holiday I'm going to go ahead and get it fixed. Mine is a 98 3.3 I believe. I know someone else told me that when you clear the codes with a scanner or manually, it just clears it until it happens again so it could very well just be a random thing.

"I seem to get a answers to the problem. But not getting it done."
That says to me you've done some research, tried a few things but you still have the code and a misfire. If so, what have you tried?
Majority of misfires are related to the ignition system, meaning plugs, plug wires, coil. The rest are caused by lack of fuel or compression. Have you done any testing in those regards?
Besides the misfire what symptoms are you seeing? Hard starting, stumbling/slow acceleration, erratic idle are the usual.
