RE: Replacement key
Good luck with that. I heard the dealer charges about $100. Ebay has them, here is the link

Your manual shows you how to program them.

RE: Replacement key
Luckily we found her set of keys! I did call the dealer about prices. For the Keyless only key it cost $62. If you durango has the sentry guard system the key still cost $62 plus an additional $40 fee to program the chip. Just so everyone know, I was able to get a copy cut of my keyless entry key and it works just fine. Obviously I don't have the sentry guard system on my durango.

RE: Replacement key
Hello all.
I have a 2006 Durango without the alarm system, just keyless entry. I purchased a used key (for the transmitter) and a new key/keycase off eBay with the intent to save a ton of money. The shop manual has the programming instructions for the alarm system but they don't work with the keyless entrymodule. Couldn't find instructions for the keyless entry only. The key works and the truck starts and continues to run but the keyless entry doesn't work. (Doesn't lock/unlock the doors).
Anyone know how to correct this? Thanks....

RE: Replacement key
You guys are the bomb! I just got off the phone with the dealer and they wanted $75 to reprogram my 2004 Durango SLT key. After reading this post I went to the owners manual and found the solution. I only have one key but it worked just the same. It was as easy as inserting the key in the ignition for 3 sec. taking it out and reinseting itfor 10 sec. and the key was programed. Dodge service has always sucked. But I love my HEMI.

RE: Replacement key
1st generation Durango owner requests permission to enter the 2nd gen house?
I got my 2003 used and since I talked them down from $15k to 11k I guess I didnt have much room to argue about a key fob. The GM tried to find a spare from theops/inventory managers'stock but no luck. I got somewhat of a deal, I got one extra key, no charge, including programming, and two key fobs, at wholesale $28 each, and free programming. Well reading what I have read about the cost and programming, I will be very cautious about them and location. In previous test drives, and looking at Grand Cherokees, (pretty much the same key) I will caution everyone to be very aware of these keys and locations.
