Much better! Although it looks like you lost a few nuts and bolts in the process?!

yea it was gettin dark and it was cold as hell so i just threw them up there with a bolt for the night

yea i painted the block a hammered grey, and the headers are black, and valve covers are hammered black.

You should have pressure washed the engine compartment before you did it. I still see the same dirt before and after.

A bit off topic, but is there a safe way to do this? What should all be covered? Battery, air intake, ?

no i just painted what i could.

i would of pressure washed it but honestly its not a SEMA truck so i didnt care :P

and the best way to pressure wash is with the truck running in case water does get into something it can blow out, try not to spray the distributor, alternator, and computer. everything else is fair game in my book. obv. i dont shoot water right into the air cleaner either.

Sure, warm the motor up, not to opt temp. Shut it OFF, spray down the motor and area with your choice of degreaser, let it sit for 5-10 min, wash it off. Simple easy.
