35" tires?
Hi!
I have 1996 Dodge Ram 1500. I lifted it 5" with skyjacker. Right now I am using 305/70R16 tires, and they look very small. I would like to put 35/12.5 tires, but I'm sure that my wheel 16x7 is not good for that. Please write me exatcly what size of wheel should I put, to avoid rubbing the tire with a car and enjoy the ride? Thanks a lot.

RE: 35" tires?
hey dont know if i am too late or what not, but if your gonna go woth a 35x12.5 you can go with anything bigger than a 16x10 but please for your own goodness and safety do not go anything less than 10 inches wide on the rim, and you wont be able to go with the 15 inch rims without reworking the clipers and fun stuff in that area, since you have the 16 ' rim the calipers are too big to fit inside the 15 '. I tried to put 15' on my truck and my 97 wouldn't agree with me. But if you knoiw exactly what tires your going with its easier to give you the info. your really gonna want to fit everything. Peace.

RE: 35" tires?
didnt want to start another thread but i just wanted to double check w/ this 35" tire size, i'm basically interested in fitting the biggest tire w/ no rubbing on a stock 98 1500 sport quad cab. 16" wheel. From what 97swb4x4 said if i try to fit a 15 the callipers will not allow it, does this go for the 98's too? Thanks for any info

RE: 35" tires?
i have 16X10 rims on my ram with 315/75/16 with just a 2" levling kit in the front they look great just a small amt of rub when the wheel is at full turn you just have to shave your inner wheel well at the bottom about 1". I will take a couple of pic and add to this thread.
