Default Coil Springs

Hello,

I have been searching past posts about coil springs and leveling kits. I have a 1999 Ram 1500Sport 4x4. I recently picked up a set of coil springs from a 2007 Ram 2500 4x4 Diesel. Will the 2007 springs work under my truck? Will they give me the 1.5 - 2" of lift that I need. They still have the part number tag on them, but I forgot to check the numbers. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

THANKS,
David

i don't think they would work...but if they do it should give you that 2 or so inches of lift...but it'll ride like a tank

The springs for the diesel, IMHO, would be a heavy duty spring to allow for the weight of the cummins. If they did fit, which i don't think they will (not sure tho) the ride will be really stiff and i bet you will take them right back out. Just my 2 cents tho.

check the diameter of the spring against what you have in there now, coil thickness & width of the coils (side to side), they should work ok. the front end of the 2500/3500's is the same basic setup as the 2nd gen trucks. in the Info thread at the top, there is a link to the coil page that shows what coil has what height etc... check it out...

oops, btw, I ran 2500 springs on my 2000 1500 and had no problems. the ride was stiffer however alot of that has to do with what shock you use.
