Default New with 99 Ram 2500 V10 some problems.

Ok. On cold start my truck seems slow to crank, and seems to take its sweet time starting. This only happens on the first start of the day, rest of the day it fires immediately. Ok also on this first start of the day it idles like poop, right away. If I grab some gas it goes away, otherwise it can last for a little while. Always seems sluggish to crank over. However, never heard another V10 Dodge crank over either. Sounds nothing like the 5.9L or 5.2L. Has had recent tune-up, plugs, injector cleaner, cant remember what the receipt said. Dealer done job. 70k mile truck. Clean white truck with AR wheels and 33's. My 3rd Dodge truck. Have 76 PowerWagon and 77 Macho PowerWagon. Both big block trucks.

Go to your local neighborhood parts store, and have the battery, and starter motor tested.

If those are ok, get a fuel pressure gauge, and see what it looks like at cold start. Could just be not building adequate pressure at initial key-on.

ours does the same thing... but it seems to be because the battery is crap.
