Clean the throttle body.....

Disconnect battery.
Remove all electrical connections and cables from throttle body.
four bolts hold it on. pull 'em out.
On the back side of the throttle bores, is the passage for idle air. IAC motor bolted to the back side of the throttle body. Remove the IAC, and CLEAN THE SNOT out of those passages.
Reinstall everything, hook the battery back up, start the truck, see if it will idle on its own. If you have a friend handy, have him/her start the truck while you watch the pintle on the IAC, it should move in and out smoothly, to control idle speed, if it doesn't, replace it.

When you cleaned your IAC, were you Nicole Kidman, or Amy Winehouse with it?

Rough handling can break the pintle in the IAC in an instant. You won't even know it until you plug it back in.

That's my Amy Winehouse reference for the week, BTW.

I treated it like a 19yr virgin......now that sounds even worse now that I'm 30..lol. But I just sprayed it down with some tb cleaner and wiped it with some papertowel. I have the tb gasket just no time to work on it :-(

Brought the truck home tonight. Put the exhaust back on and gonna pull the TB tomorrow and clean it. But would that cause a vaccum issue? When I push down on the brake pedal it gets soft and spongy. Re-blead them and still soft. Also as I able pressure it wants to stall bad. Not sure if everything could be related?

Took the TB off and it looks like an oily mess down there so I'm guessing its time to call hughes and order me up his intake :-)

Yep. Plenum is definitely blown. There are plates for sale on Ebay for about half what hughes wants of 'em. Get a good fel-pro gasket set locally and you are all set.

I was actually considering the hughs FE intake. Is there a definite performance gain with it?

That would certainly present a running problem. Glad you found it.
