Default Help no electrical after start-up.

Just went out to start the truck and when I turned the ignition to start it almost started and then everything went out and the brake light went dim. I dont have lights, turn signals, radio pretty much everything electrical is gone. When I turned on my alarm the horn is now making this very slow etch beeping sound like it wants to honk but doesn't have enough power to do so. Is it the solenoid or something else thats wrong with it? She wont even crank anymore. Also if this helps any, Fog lights that I wired straight to the battery aren't working.

Ok just found the issue, The Positive battery terminal had so much corrosion on it that I had to cut off the 2 screws that keep the positive terminal together. Lucky I had another 2 backup screws for replacement and lucky I have some coke cans and Baking powder in the house. Now I have a Hugh puddle of acid the color of the statue of liberty. Im not sure why corrosion keeps building up on the terminals. Just a couple of months ago I got stuck at Walmart for corrosion. I unplug my accessorizes outputs each time im done with the truck. Thanks for the responses though

Use Vaseline or some type of anti corrosion stuff on the batt terminals. Auto parts stores carry a few diff types.

I use the spray on gasket sealer (like Copper Coat) on mine the only pita with that is if you need to jump you have to scrape it off to make a good connection. Nice thing is it drys up and you don't have to worry about having a gooey mess on the battery.
