Default T steering Dodge Ram -97

If in wrong section, please move

So, i've googled for like 2 weeks on this matter and it has left me with more questions than answers.

Anyone here that has changed to T-steering on their -97 Dodge ram 2500?
I only seem to find people changing on -00 and newer and from what i've learned, it is not the same on -97 and older, not sure what differs though.

I'm thinking about bying Mopars T-steering linkage kit -03-13 upgrade, but i'm afraid it wont fit.

And there are 2 almost identical kits from Mopar, 52122362AH and 52122362AF, anyone know the difference?

Also, mine is lifted 3'' in suspension and 3'' bodylift, aswell as a AAL with 37'' tires if that changes anything.

So, if you changed on yours, let me know what you bought,

In 00' they widened the axles a little bit aparrently or they changed the taper on the knuckles.

Someone around here put it on an older model truck and he said it fit fine.

It looks like the two mopar kits are not for the second gens. I thought there was some difference in the tie rod ends in the newer rams. ???

Here is one for the second gens but pricey.

Use this kit:

Plus he put it on a 96 axle so same as style as yours. There's plenty of reading if you search 98-99HD Crossover or T steering.

Did you notice any improvement with the swap?

Now i've ordered a HD steering kit from ebay. I became a little worried when the seller said like 5 times that "it will NOT fit my vehicle". I asked him why it wouldn't and they had no answer for that. With my luck it probably won't but we'll see

I read somewhere that you will need to have a bit of toe in when you have as big tires as i have (37''), can anyone confirm that or?

2000 and up axles will all fit the Mopar kit that you ordered. 1999 and under had smaller tapers in the knuckles on both the Dana 44 and 60 front axles. The tie rods will appear to attach fine but will not be completely seated. They could snap off or worse. The ONLY option for your YEAR is the 98-99HD stock parts I linked for you unless you want to spend huge money.

Ah, thought you meant the 03-12 kit. Yeah, I hate when these parts stores say things that are stupid, like: that oil filter won't work on your truck because you have a "sport" model. Or, how they need to know what trans, engine, gear ratio, mileage and seat material I have just to get a new set of wiper blades. Grrr.

They have to say it won't fit because you have a different year, I suppose. Legal stuff. Shipping thing is too bad. Keep trying!
