Default 1995 Gauge cluster swap info

I have a 95 ram 1500 5.2 5speed with the base cluster and I want a tach so I picked up a set of gauges from a 94w/ tach. plugged it in and everything works perfect but the tach. I'm thinking there must be a wire somewhere that needs connected for it to work or maybe even a fuse installed. I have the base model with manual everything. I can't seem to find a decent wiring diagram in my manual so any ideas/ help would be great. thanks, Joe

I do believe it is indeed just one wire...... Doing this swap is real hit and miss though. For some folks, it worked fine, for others, it didn't......

Grab the 95 service manual from this thread. Should have better diagrams for ya.

wire is missing from my harness from firewall to pcm. Chrysler must have been trying to save a few pennies. Going to try to run a new wire and see what happens. thanks for your help. Joe

I would bet that all you have to do is run the wire. The PCM is probably putting out the signal, regardless if the wire is there or not.

success. after staring at the diagrams for 3 days and realizing I was trying to put a new wire into the wrong pin out on the computer I finally got it. It was missing a section of wire from the out side of the firewall to the inside of the firewall. A couple feet of wire and two connectors and the tach sprung too life. Now I am going to try for the low fuel light. thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it. Joe

So the low fuel light works with no other mods/wiring.
