Default ABS and Brake Light - NOT RWSS or Sensor in Trans

Hey guys,
I am at the end of my rope here. I have had the transmission to my 99 2500 2wd Gas rehauled in every way possible, because of a corroded ground coming from the PCM. And after all that work, now the ABS and Brake light come on after about 2 minutes into my ride, no matter if I am moving or not. It seems to be time sensitive, not affected by my speed or distance. I switched out my rear wheel sensor, and the sensor in the transmission today, no change at all. I have checked the fluid and all the fuses, all good there. The transmission has problems switching gears, mainly it will not switch out of 2nd into 3rd unless I take my foot off the gas, at which time it will shift into third. It is very rough switching into most gears. I am due to take it back to the same shop which fixed the transmission in another week (pre-arranged two week check-up) and would like to figure out if this problem is causing the bad shifting. This is because when I went to pick it up, they said that those lights were already coming on when it was brought in, which is possible, considering it had been at the dealership being worked on before them. Basically, I am about to drive this maching off a cliff, if anyone has any suggestions to save my trucks life, I'd truly appreciate any help,
Kevin

Check the switch in the top of your brake pedal. There should be a little plunger that comes out of it and touches the brake pedal assemply. Check to see if there is any play in it. Thats what happened to mine, just fixed it today with a zip tie! Got the help from this fourm. As for the messed up shifting.. Dunno.. Im havin trouble with mine as well.

Sounds like the TV cable is out of adjustment for the shifting problem. As for the ABS light, check for a small pin hole leak in the brake line running above the gas tank. Check every where for leaks for that matter including wheel cylinders. but the line above the tank is a pretty common problem.

Thanks for the advice guys. There is no play in the brake plunger. And also something I wanted to add, is that the lights come on about a minute or so even without the car running. Just turning the key to auxilary, the lights will come on in about a minute or so. I had a new (actually used, the trans shop found one) PCM put in, could the wiring from that be throwing this code?

zman, I was going to check for leaks today, you don't think that it could still be that?

I've seen more than enough instances on here where a pinhole leak in the line above the tank can possibly cause this issue.

And here is a write up on how to adjust the TV cable. If it's still under warranty I wouldn't adjust it, but I would check it to see if and how off it is. Then I would suggest it as a possible to the tranny place. I also wouldn't let it go too, if it is the problem, it can damage the tranny. http://www.bionicdodge.com/Download/...Adjustment.pdf

Just realized the link I provided assumes you know the stock position of the cable. I'm trying to find a thread in which I believe Sherriff420 posted the stock directions. I can't find it! Found it,

Thanks Zman, awesome post on the tv cable. I am going to talk to the tranny shop and see if they want to take care of it before I do.

NP, and thanks goes to JasonW as he originally posted that in another thread. It is quite possible that's all the prob is. If nothing more than eliminating it as a prob.
