FireDodge's 360 Build
So I've been trying to get this done for the past, oh I don't know, year or so. But I am now in a position to finally order my parts and assemble the motor. Back in January/February I had a spare block cleaned and honed out by a local shop. I will be using the stock bottom end, but replacing all bearings and rings and whatnot.
The top end is what I will be ordering over the next few days. Here is a short list of what I intend to get.
Odessa EQ 2.02 heads
CompCams 20-604-9 -- http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/c...?csid=664&sb=2
Lifters/Pushrods from Chryslerpartsdirect.com
_____________
I already have a complete rebuild kit including all gaskets, bearings, rings, and that stuff. All this will be paired by my current M1 Intake manifold, 52mm Throttle body, double roller timing chain, SCT ( I know I will need new tunes), 4.56 gears, and Detroit locker.
A few things still, I was going to look into a high volume oil pump. Does anyone have a link to a good one (lower priced the better haha). And also if anyone has any other input that they'd like to share or persuade me feel free to let me know. As parts come in, I will upload pics for you ******.

I am running the 206029 CRS262HR12 and I bought a adjustable pushrod to check for correct length. I ended up with stock length push rods if that helps you any. I am using the EQ heads too. I am running a Melling High Volume oil pump can't tell you yet if it causes any issues. My bottom end is all stock like yours too. I am using the Hughes Engine Air Gap intake instead of the M1.
I went with 1.65 ratio roller rockers on the intake and 1.7 ratio roller rockers on the exhaust. They are Scorpion roller rockers.

Heads, cam, lifters, pushrods all arrived last week. Haven't actually opened anything yet. My friend/mechanic who will be building the motor for me doesn't have a free weekend until November 2nd/3rd, so I have to be patient until then. And with less hours at work, funds have gotten pretty low, so I get to save up for any odds and ends I may need once the build happens.

Well I finally got some time at the shop with a mechanic friend of mine and we assembled about 90% of the motor! I think next weekend (1.5 weeks) we will do the official swap. Took us all of about 5 hours to do with only one trip to the parts store for an oil pump and head bolts. all that is left is the timing cover, water pump, intake, valve covers, and oil pan...for the most part. Things were going so smoothly I forgot to take more pictures, but here is what I have!
Laying out pistons for new rings and installation...

Pistons installed
So pretty!
Double roller and cam installed...
Installing one cylinder head...
Both heads installed...
Difference between old block and brand new heads!
Rockers installed...This is how it sits now but in a bag until next Saturday/Sunday.
Edit: The rockers are the stock 1.6's but everything else in the head is brand new (valves, springs, yadayada)
