Wheels
A quick poll of what wheels people are using, then some basic wheel terminology and general information.
Hub Diameter or center bore is the hole at the center of the wheel.
Rear spacing or back spacing is the distance from the backside of the wheel mounting pad to the outside of the rim flange.
Offset: The distance from the centerline of the wheel to the mounting surface of the wheel.
Negative offset: When the back of the bolt pad is closer to the inside of the wheel; when mounting surface is inboard of the rim centerline.
Positive offset: When the back of the bolt pad is closer to the street side of the wheel; when the mounting surface is outboard of the rim centerline.
thanks HammerZ71, I stole this from his post in the 3rd gen ram faq section.
Bolt pattern or lug pattern or bolt circle is determined by the number of bolt holes and the bolt circle diameter. The bolt pattern on a 3rd Gen Dakota is 5 on 5.5.

I checked other, even though I have stock Mopar wheels, they were never offered on the Dakota. They are almost identical to stock Ram SLT 17's on '07 & '08 models. I got them as new take offs from a 2006 Durango SLT on Ebay for $400 including shipping. When I upgrade, I want the black OEM 18's from 2007 & 2008.
