Default H.O. Camshaft Part #

Whats up guys.

So my headers arrive on Tuesday and Magnaflows go on the truck next week as well.

Next on my list are H.O. cams and the superchips tuner.

So i found some cams in Mopar Parts America:

Click the image to open in full size.

Could somebody that already bought the cams confirm these are the right ones, I hate ordering the wrong parts

http://www.moparpartsamerica.com/par...06&catalogid=1

Thankssssss

This site lists differences of the 4.7 vs 4.7 HO. If you scroll down you'll see the camshaft part #'s. I believe the last letter was changed though. Maybe it's d now? Still haven't put mine in yet. Will be a week from Easter Sunday though.

Any H/O cams will work. Just buy them from airram.com. I tried to buy a set from moparpartsamerica.com and they need a H/O vin number. Second they will cahrge you tax and shipping so its not as cheap as you think.

thanks ruger, but even with shipping its about 20 bucks cheaper than airam.com. i still got them from airram though because they offer next day shipping

To anybody wondering...according to airram.com these cams are interchangeable from 1999 to 2007 and add on average about 20 rwhp

Watch out for Moparpartsamerica. Each time I have ordered from them, the contact me and tell me thats not the right part, and they send me the "correct" one and charge me more. It costed me $120 for new front sway bar links, when it was supposed to be $60. Each time, I select the proper vehical.

man they just did the same **** to me. wowwwwwww

I gave them a try since they were $50 cheaper ( not 20 like i said before it was actually $50)

I got an e-mail telling me the the part ordered was the wrong one and the right one was a special order and cost way extra (plus no returns on special orders)

I nicely told them to cancel the order.

Now im ordering from airram ( yes i should have listened)

Seriously!

Thats probably why they get away with having prices so much lower than everybody else. They just jack them up once you swiped your card.

Cool H.O. cam(s)

WOW is right. I think I'll cross them off my list of places to order from. This is where I got mine.

http://dodge-wholesale.com/catalog/index.php

Here is another site I found. I used this site to get the part #'s.

http://www.justforjeeps.com/47lhocamshafts.html

Any just for the record here are the part numbers for the HO cams.
53021411AD 53021412AD

BTW if these are wrong or out of date please let me know. Thanks.

Your welcome. You may also want to consider HO springs too. Sorry I don't have any numbers for those. Here is an exchange I had with Nick at airram and his thoughts on springs.

Thank you for visiting AIR RAM PERFORMANCE.
Do you have to change the springs.... NO... But at 123,000 miles, you may wish you did change them 20,000 miles down the road... If you where at the 70,000 mile mark I may suggest you could go without swapping them... but once customers get over the 100,000 mile mark I tend to suggest they SHOULD change them... this does not mean you have to... and you could very well get away without changing them and never have an issue... But your going to be in there... is it worth taking a chance over?
If you have ANY questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

Some good advice I thought.

you dont need the springs. i didnt swap them when i did my ho cam swap. billy said he has never saw the need to replace a stock spring for just ho cams. i swapped cams at 130k. that paragraph is just a marketing ploy probably.^

Default FYI painted springs

For any who want know:

I bought the H.O. springs when I got the cams but I didn't know which were intake or exhaust. So I called the dealer and they said the painted ones were for the intake. Only 4 more days to H.O. cams!!
