Replacing Turn Signal Bulb

Replacing Turn Signal Bulb
1 week old Durango . . . the RH Rear turn bulb occasionally will not light. Rather than hassle of taking to dealer, I thought I would try to re-seat it myself, but I am not sure how to get to the bulb.
I am assuming the little round caps will pop out, exposing a screw, but they seem really tight, and I do not want to break anything.
Anyone know correct procedure for replacing bulb in 2012 Durango?
Thanks

Looks like it is going to dealer, even though I tried.
I got the light assembly out, but now I see a bigger problem. It is not just the bulb being loose. There is something strange with the wiring.
The problem is not just with the turn signal, the running light is not working either.
With running lights off, the turn signal functions, but is burning the small filament (not the bright one). . . If the running lights are turned on, nothing in RH Rear works.

For anyone thinking of replacing bulbs, the first step is to remove the 2 plastic fasteners shown in the first post. I thought it might be a cap over a screw, but instead it is a "panel fastener". . . photo attached
Remove the two fasteners, by pulling the center plug straight back, after the fasteners are removed, the tail-light housing will pull straight back.

i just did this. grab the light assembly firmly and wiggle until it comes loose. There are 2 metal pins that are holding it in place on the side closest to the fender.
