Default Issue starting. Wont ignite

So my 2011 Crew with a 5.7 Hemi is at the dealer now. Sometimes when I try to start it, it just cranks and eventually gives up. Luckily I have the max care warranty but they are having a hard time diagnosing the problem since it does not occur all the time.

Look at this video and make sure your volume is up so you can hear what it does.

Have any of you experienced this ?

Thanks

Please see one of the many TIPM threads. Most likely this is the issue.

And I know there are others.

I tried to get involved in most as I had this issue early on, but out of the standard warranty. Fortunately I had an extended warranty.

I ditched the 2011 Durango and this issue was part of the decision not to get a 14 R/T as I was planning. My 2011 also started stalling under braking recently, probably related to the TIPM.

Thanks. Dealer investigating now. Lucky I bought the lifetime unlimited miles warranty. If its the tipm the warranty just paid for itself. I really like the durango and don't want to get rid of it.

Well, lloks like my max care plan just paid for itself.

Dealer ordered new TIPM, and some new wiring harness. TIPM should be in tomorrow. Hope this fixes the problem.

I am glad I have the warranty because I like the rig.
