Default A/C compressor

Quick question....when you go WOT with the a/c on does the pcm turn off the compressor to save wear like in GM's? I floored it the other day with the a/c on (usually turn it off if i'm getting on her) and the air stayed cold so i'm guessing it doesn't.

No one knows...i'll just keep turning it off before flooring it.

It should, it may take a few minutes for the air to warm up enough to notice.

Save wear on the compressor? I find you get a bit more power if the A/C is off when you stomp on it. But with 390 HP and 409 torque I don't think the A/C really takes away.So I am guessing right aren't I?

Wear as in if the compressor clutch doesn't disengage it'll spin up fast along with the rpm's. Constantly ripping it up to 6000rpms wouldn't be the best idea.....hard on the compressor/seals/whole system really with the increased pressure.

And yea you have more power with the a/c off...the clutch isn't engaged so there's less parasitic loss (it's basically a free spinning pulley).
