I fired my truck up tonight to move it into the garage and it stalled on me and now it won't start up again. I didn't let the engine warm up at all and it's been sitting all day (temp here is about 0 degrees celcius). That's my bad, I know. when I first started it it was perfect, shifter from reverse into drive and stalled out of nowhere. It turns over, seems to fire really weak for a fraction of a second and then dead. I don't know what to do now.
Smells pretty rich at the exhaust pipe, so I don't know if you can flood it or what. I let it sit for 20 mins and tried it again and nothing. I'm hoping it will start in the morning.
One other thing, I removed my muffler back in october and had it straight piped. That is the only mod done to the truck.
Has anybody heard of this problem before? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Reason: additional information
No shorty wires. The truck has been good all winter, and it gets d*mn cold here in Saskatchewan. I turned on my windshield wipers while turning the wheel and had the headlights on all at the same time, seems almost like a system overload. Can't figure out why she won't fire now though.
Have you replaced your wires ever? I replaced the wires on my old 98 once and a few of them were sitting on top of the engine and melted, my truck would occasionally start up, stall afterwards, then die soon afterwards.
Hope this helps, good luck!

Sounds like similar problem I had recently. I replaced the camshaft position sensor and it fixed the problem. Inexpensive part and not too hard to install (definitely not easy though). I have 05 hemi ram 4x4 with 108k miles.
Started up this morning so I let it warm up while I had a shower before moving it back into the garage. Seems like when you push on the break it stutters a bit like its going to stall then it idles back up. Oh well, at least it's running now. I shut it down and it fired back up like a champ, so I'll watch it I guess. Thanks for the help guys.
