Ticking noise from 5.7 Hemi
I have always heard a ticking noise coming from the engine bay area. I purchased a set of headers and installed and because I was told that the exhaust manifolds were warped. I took truck into dealership and they said it was from my headers. I believe the sound is coming from the bellhousing because I have heard teeth grinding when starting.

You need to use a lighter weight oil, your truck does not call for 10w-40 even though it's synthetic. I have a 2003 hemi and was useing 10w-30 when I also heard the ticking, so I switched to 5w-30 and amazingly the ticking vanished!!! I believe your's must be ticking loud with 10w-40. What made you use 10w-40?
