Default Transmission Swap

Hi I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500, with the 3.7L V6. I was wondering if I could swap mg transmission with a 4.7L transmission without any problems. Do you all have an idea as to if it will do a swap without any problems?

Yours should be a 45rfe. Some 4.7s came with 45rfe or 5-45rfe. Depending on 4spd or 5spd

For Me.... Control... Choice. Like to. Habit,,,

in 46 years of driving cars/trucks.. only 2 were automatics...
besides I ride motorcycles.... also.

I ordered mine .. this way... V6, manual, tow package.
vinyl flooring.. cloth seats. Cruise and AC.... that is it. Well a 9 1/4 limited slip.
with 300 pounds in the back.. I can go thru any amount of SNOW...

and this RAM is my first Truck.

besides..... I am a retired auto mechanic.. I can fix a manual. not an automatic.. I am an Engine guy.

No, that question was aimed at the OP...why do you want to swap a trans from a 4.7 into your truck?
