Default Spyder Auto Black Headlights w/ Smoked lenses install

Going to be my thread on the install of these slick looking lights. Going to clean up the front REAL nice.. can't wait to get them on! Anyone else have them? How did YOU tie the LED's and Halos into the parking light circuit? I am thinking about doing them with the Fog Light circuit.

Also, anyone know what the CCFL inverter is and why we would want to use it?

Also, if anyone has info on a lens protection film, what is good and what to look for, a possible link of good film.. that would be great. I want to protect these lenses as much as I can so I can reskin the film and save the lenses from rock/road debris.

Okay. I will have to take a little time and see what is up with these. I realize now that on my S10, the lights I have are backwards, and from what I am reading, these are the same way. Chinese **** wired.. Not bad, I can rewire, and I will make sure to detail it for you guys should you get these or want them. Plus there is going to have to be an inverter bought for the Halo's and LEDs. So that is a bit more expense. The inverter above will need to be bought, not sure on (2) but thinking so. I need to research the film, I really want the film for the fronts for protection. I know I have seen some 3M film out there someplace that doesn't yellow with age, supposed to protect the clear fronts on the lenses.

This is the feedback from a guy on Amazon on the Spyder Auto Lights:

also, this is the actual guide to install the lights per the Spyder Auto site:

CCFL Inverter is basically a ballast. Run your Halos off it, and tie your LED's into it also. I have no clue why they do not just send one along with the damn lights to begin with. Would save them negative reviews and would be a more complete "kit". Oh and wiring the lights properly and not BACKWARD and with the wrong wires paired off (wired) together. The lights themselves are of good material, I guess that the final production of the lights electrical wise is junk. What you get when someone is being paid $1.00/day in a sweat shop someplace.

The CCFL Inverters are for 2 outputs per inverter. You can run both halos off it, one of each. I think I will do the LED's (3) per halo this way also.. so 1 halo and 3 LEDs per output. The set is inexpensive, $9.99-$14.99 per set depending on what kind you get, and I am sure there are inverters that are more expensive. Still wish they would have just sent some along with the damn lights.

Wanted to requote this so you do see it. I lost it myself because I posted it right under the Amazon review.

Trying to get this project done. I ordered Sylvania Zevo LED 3157 bulbs for the turn bulbs. They are bright as HELL and are a good brand. I searched all over and those switchback bulbs are no good, go bad easily and I just don't care about all of that, so I am going to skip those all together. I did get the CCFL inverter ballasts also. I plan on adding the halos to the foglights circuit. The LED will run off the light circuit. I haven't decided on which to what.. or if the high lights are on the LED's will likely go off which I am fine with. I found clear "mask" for protection over the lights. Looks like a "set" which is the 2 headlights, and 2 foglights "set" runs around $60.00. I personally think that is expensive as ****.. just thick clear plastic.. but will likely do it, not sure yet. But in the next week I will be installing these if workflow allows.
