Hi Tim, you should perhaps let the women do the shopping and stick to doing bloke things, like drinking beer and stuff, hope this helps.

You can use a bungee cord or tie down straps, or out a piece of wood across the bed to create a small place for them to be in.

I'm guessing it's a regular cab and not a QC? I've got a QC, but when I have things like bags and luggage and stuff in the back, I run a bungee from one cleat, through the handles, and attach to the cleat on the other side. If you don't have anything to partition the bed, you can use some cardboard boxes to keep everything together, and utilize the bungee idea I talked about -- just cut some holes through the sides of the boxes to run the bungees through. When you are not using them, take the boxes out and fold them up in a closet or something.

I use the bungie cord method myself. Need to cut some wood and slide it in the gaps on the side of the bed though.

I have a 2004 Quad cab and has a bed liner.
On the bed liner near the back near towards the tali gate it has some slots on the fender wells. I went to home depot and got some 1 1/2 in pvc tubing and some fittings made a frame with a middle piece so you will need 4 elbows and some t's to make this. worked great and I was able to remove or put back for grocery shopping.
That was one of my first things I made so the bundles would not end up in the back.

I still have it but do not use as I use other vehicle to go food shopping or the wife goes in her car. If you want a picture of it let me know I can upload it.

Good luck
