4wd light flashing???

always put into neutral first before putting into 4wd. its always better for the truck. never engage the 4wd while driving, it could cause a lot of problems. kinda like go in reverse real fast and poppin it into drive....its just not good for it. while you put it in neutral, make sure you are at a complete stop. then engage the 4wd. the light will flash and you will hear your 4wd electronically lock. the light will stop flashing, then go ahead and put back into drive. you are good to go.
to take it out...put into neutral again, put in 2wd....it will unlock, then put into drive.

You can put it into 4 hi up to 55 mph, but in loose road conditions, ie. gravel, snow, loose dirt, sand. To put it into 4 lo you should be coasting in neutral like 2 mph and then put it into 4 lo but you will only be able to drive maybe 30 mph you will feel the torque. For sure though you want to be almost stuck before you start trying to drive in 4 lo. I hope that is correct I am going by other trucks I have had with same trans and trans case so I assume its the same. Heck check your manual, I think sometimes people are getting lazy we all got manuals.
